A Fiestavus Celebration!
Our favorite friends and family,
We would be honored to have you join us in beautiful Oaxaca City, Mexico for our wedding. We want you to come hang with us, of course, but we also invite you to Oaxaca to experience one of the coolest cities on earth. Oaxaca is full of rich history, gorgeous architecture, friendly people, delicious food, mezcal, music, and parades. Mexico has an abundance of indigenous communities, and we urge you to take time to explore local museums, visit artisans in and around Centro, and take in the city on foot, ensuring you’ll encounter pop-up markets and vendors whose family histories date back thousands of years, carrying crafting and food traditions onward. Wandering on foot will also give you more opportunities to taste the famously delicious local street food. Take a few extra minutes to explore a shop or look behind an open door. There are seemingly endless hidden gems waiting to be discovered. Behind many of the city’s ancient walls and heavy doors are shops and restaurants that can be easily missed. Let curiosity guide you as you acquaint yourself with the magic of Oaxaca. You’ll soon find yourself engaging with locals, trying new foods, finding treasures to bring home with you, and you’ll feel an undeniable fascination and appreciation for Oaxaca and those who call it home. We urge you to use some of your free time to explore the city with wide eyes and open hearts.
We are hosting several events over the weekend that will bring us all together, and we are so grateful for the privilege of having you all come to Mexico to celebrate the beginning our married life. We are not only so lucky to have found each other, we are so lucky to have such treasured and supportive family and friends. We have tried to build our weekend around community and the celebration of all types of relationships that we hold sacred. While it’s our wedding weekend, we don’t want or need to focus to be just on our union, but the community that exists among all of us. We are delighted that our celebration can bring friends together whose relationships have spanned decades, and equally excited for people we love to meet other people we love. Weddings are often intensely special times of reunification and memory making, and we are honored that ours can be a catalyst for these treasured moments that bring such joy and connection. We hope that the weekend is everything you need to fill your heart, and that you have an absolute blast together.
We are elated to be able to share our wedding weekend with you. Thank you for being in our orbit, for traveling to a far away destination, for having faith in us to go the distance, and for showing up for us during such a joyful time. We love you!
